The Official Holiday Season Kick-off

Ahhh, the madness of Black Friday is finally just around the corner. Crazed shoppers and deal-chasers have been planning their Friday early morning shopping excursion for the last several weeks. I can truthfully say that I’ve never been up at 2 a.m. on Friday heading to my local mall, but I think that has to do with the fact that I’m not willing to leave my warm cozy home for sub-zero temps and snow.
This year may be different for me though, because I recently received a 40% off coupon for one of my favorite retailers and it’s valid until noon! Heck, maybe I’ll bring my daughter and we’ll make a day of it, complete with a stop by Orange Julius®. PS – my local mall actually has THREE Orange Julius locations, which makes it really easy to fuel up while shopping! We hear it from loyal fans all the time, “My holiday shopping trip isn’t complete without my stop by Orange Julius. It’s part of my holiday tradition!”
What is your holiday tradition? Will you be out and about at 3 a.m. this Friday?

I was just at the Dairy Queen in Ankeny, IA last night. I was disappointed to hear the pumpkin pie blizzard has been discontinued
It is my favorite blizzard and I hope you reconsider and bring it back for the holiday season!

My girlfriend and I look forward all year for our Pumpkin and Peppermint Blizzards. We were there Oct.1st for our first Pumpkin Blizzard and savored it. We looked forward to having many of them before the holidays are over. We just came home from trying to get another one only to be told that was just an Oct. promotion. Then I asked about the Peppermint and was told they weren’t going to be doing Peppermint this year. I’m devestated! I was positive we were able to get our Favorite Pumpkin at least till Christmas.
I can’t tell you how very disappointed we are.

Julie and Cathy — I am so sorry! The pumpkin flavor is a limited time offering, and is offered in October. Some locations may carry it longer into November, however DQ stores and restaurants are required to carry it only in October. We aren’t offering the Peppermint flavor this year, and I will ensure your comments are forwarded to our product development team for their future consideration.
I am VERY disappointed to hear that the Peppermint flavor is not offered this year! How can that be and why? I have seriously been counting down the days until December 1st so I could get one – I seriously get probably 2/week because I love this flavor so much – I am having a rough day and was really was hoping the flavor was already avaiable so I could get one on my way home today. I am so bummed! PLEASE consider brining this flavor back
I’m wondering why you don’t offer an eggnog flavor blizzard? Something similar to the pumpkin pie blizzard with the crust in it with eggnog flavoring? (I agree with the above that I’d like to see pumpkin all year round as it is my favorite too! I am a big eggnog flavor fan and would totally buy it during the holidays!
