Where is Big Lips?

Many DQ® customers have fun memories of the DQ system. One mom recently sent a letter to the corporate headquarters about a cute story they like to tell over and over again in their family.
“More than 20 years ago, our son, who was just a small boy at the time, told us he wanted to go to ‘Big Lips.’ We had no clue what he was trying to tell us, but later as we drove by our local DQ store, he pointed to your red logo and explained, ‘There, that’s where I want to go.’
‘Big Lips’ has been our name for the DQ brand since then. You can imagine our pleasure when we saw the advertising campaign using the logo as lips with a tongue licking them. Our son is now grown with a family of his own, but we all still love eating DQ treats.”
Such a great memory this family has about the DQ system. Do you have any funny DQ stories you tell over and over again in your family?

I go to DQ everyday!!! They always know that I want a Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke and a Kid’s Sprite for my grandaughter. Also, when my Shih-tzu comes along, he loves DQ’s yummy bacon!!!!! We have grown up living down the street from a Dairy Queen!!! Very convenient!:)
I love the fact that while in line for my Blizzard I can look across the street and see all the people on tread mills in the YMCA! Strategically placed or what?
I tried the new nutty banana blizzard in the “mini” size. It was quite good but I was surprised that it had chocolate in it too. Would have preferred it without the chocolate. Also would have preferred the banana’s to be better blended into the ice cream. Otherwise it was a good combination.
When I was about 4 or 5 years old my dear old dad worked at the Allis Chalmers farm implement factory in La Porte,IN.
We only had one car ans some times my mom would take Dad to wrok and we would go pick him up.
They had a giant stem whistle that blew to signallunch time and end of shift,
It made a huge cloud of visible moisture when the blew it. It was a great thing to see.
Sometimes my mom would let me go to the DQ right across the street or sometimes we would park in the DQ lot and she would let me spend a dime on a 5 cent cone with chocolate topping, A Brown Derby they called it.
Dad would walk over and we would all go home together.
Wonderful times.

I think the new commercials stink. Please bring back “Big Lips”. Please Please Please…….
Seriously?
Female lips, male voice.
Does anyone else see something very, very wrong here, especially for a chain called Dairy QUEEN? Who was that ad agency and what were they thinking???
