We have wasted no time in kicking off the Blizzard® 25th Challenge! We will be trying each Blizzard flavor on the 25 Flavors for 25 Years Menu, and giving each one a Blizzard spoon rating (1 – 3 spoons!). Check out the first flavor, Turtle Pecan Cluster, which by the way is also the January Blizzard of the month. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite Chocoholics Blizzard Treat!

Pecan Cluster Blizzard is my ALL TIME favorite blizzard flavor!!! However, I have been tempted to write DQ to offer my expertise in regards to the taste of this wonderful blizzard at various DQ locations. I first was introduced to this yummy dessert years ago in Spooner. They have one clerk who is quite good at her job. She has made these blizzards taste the same every time. Here comes another however…..HOWEVER…I have to say that not all DQ’s must follow the same recipe. Even the one I had just last weekend in Eau Claire Mall was sad. So, with that, I will tell you the all time best Pecan Cluster Blizzard I had about 2 years ago in Wabasha, MN. Second place best would have to be Bloomer, Wisconsin.

The best way to have a Chocolate Extreme blizzard is have them make it with chocolate ice cream. YUM, YUM…..

This was one of my favorite Blizzards. I hope DQ will put this on the permanent menu sometime.
Absolutely my fave in the chocolate category! I worked at a DQ in the ’70s, and we came up with the turtle sundae at that location – now it’s in a blizzard! Mmmmmmm!
THE PECAN CLUSTER IS MY VERY FAVORITE BLIZZARD–I AM NOT A CHOC. PERSON, BUT THIS DOES GIVE YOU A TASTE OF CHOCOLATE, PECANS, AND MY FAVORITE CARAMEL—THE MIXTURE IS GREAT TO THE TASTE BUDS! THINK I’LL GO TO DAIRY QUEEN!!!!
I really like this one. I hope it stays on the menu and doesn’t end up being seasonal like pumpkin pie.
I rediscovered the Blizzard while on vacation a few months ago. The Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard is absolutely the best. I am grateful that we don’t have a Dairy Queen in my hometown any more. I couldn’t resist having one every day. Wonderful!!!
