What’s that you say? Who am I? I’m the Blizz Prez…the World’s #1 Blizzard Fan (well, at least one of them). I’ve been sending out emails, reviewing the Blizzard of the Month – and Blizz fans have been responding like CRAZY!

Suggestion:
Have DQ maps in each Restaurant for customers to put in their cars, so the DQs are easily found. I do not have any DQs nearby, so have a paper in the car with notations of locations on each route that I travel often, but would rather an accurate map.

Hey Im a huge blizzard freak. Last summer My cousin and I must have gone to DQ a dozen times. We once went twice in a day and then once the next week. Yea, we love ice cream, and especially the DQ blizzards. One of my favorites is the Reeses Blizzard.

Hi Blizz Prez…Very cool website. It’s late here, too late for a blizzard. But tomorrow is another day. So how’s it going with you? A little about me: I’m in Oregon and married to a sweet man. And we have three sweet daughters and a sweet grandson. It’s just blizzards that are sweet, ya know.

OMG!!! I am sooo in love with the turtle oreo blizzard! I secretly sneak out of the house alone to get one. leaving my kids and husband behind! For 3 weeks now…. I think I am developing an addiction – Please Help! No… don’t!!!!

I love blizzards so much that when I went to Mexico (Playa del Carmen) in Janurary I was very pleased and surprised to find a Dairy Queen on the main street. My favourite blizzard was even listed on their menu. Of course I had one!! Amazing!! I like to try new flavours but I always go back to the Chocolate Pecan. Just thinking about them makes me want to rush out and enjoy another.

Just had my first Turtle Blizzard. Wow! I was a Cookie Dough girl ’til now. May have to switch my priorities!

Not all Blizzards are created equal. I have quit buying them in my hometown Johnston City, Il. You wouldn’t want to try to hold one of them upside down. They just aren’t thick enough. But I will buy one at any other store.

I am so excited about this blog, I love Dairy Queen, especially the Blizzards. Thanks for giving your fans a place to go.

Chocolate Extreme (minus the chocolate chuncks. I don’t like them) with Oreo pieces. It’s fantastic!

We love DQ Blizzards. My husband, daughter and I go to Dairy Queen 2-3 times a week as our nightly desert. I’m just bummed that our DQ has started closing an hour earlier. Our order normally consists of a Cookie dough, chocolate extreme, and reeses. Can’t wait to see what April’s blizzard of month will be.

Your March Blizzard of the Month (Oreo Mint) is a PERFECT selection for this month – green for St. Patty’s Day! Yeahh!! And I must also mention, it’s one of MY personal 3 favorite blizzards. Yum!!!

Hey Blizz Prez! Just saying, I love the emails about the Blizzards of the Months. I do have a question for you though: Why do all of the DQs around here (Allison, IA) always close during the winter months??? I know it’s because the cold weather, but my Birthday’s in November, and I used to get a DQ cake every year. Now that gas prices and everything else is so high, my parents can’t drive to get one. I also couldn’t use my birthday coupon that I got from being in the Blizzard Fan Club because nothing was open with in a reasonable driving distance. It disappointed me. Another thing was that when I had this surgury, we didn’t get to stop at a DQ afterward and get ice cream (which is a serious tradition in my family after something major at the hospital) because they were closed…Anyway, if the guy that decides which DQs stay open is watching this, HELP!

Hands down, the banana split blizzard is the best! One year Thanksgiving, they had a pumpkin pie blizzard out, omg i couldnt get enough! Sadly I havent been able to find it since *tear*

OMG we can’t get enough of the January Blizzard of the month. The Turtle Oreo blizzard is the best ever. It is march and we are still asking for it. Dairy Queen is in my genes, my dad’s first job 55 years ago was at a Milwaukee Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen Forever. :)

Hi-My husband and I go to Dairy Queen every Saturday for lunch. We always have large fries, a large drink and either a large sundae or blizzard. The girls know us when we come in.

I, too, am very far from a DQ. I take my coupon,if available,when I travel in hopes that I will find a DQ!! I LOVE the Blizzard! French silk, Graham cracker, Cappucino Heath, but alas, I have to wait a couple more months to travel again.:—-(

Can we please make the cotton candy blizzard a permanent flavor? I’d drive the 45 minutes for it every weekend without fail! Yummy!

I miss the good old days when you got to choose from a list of 10-15 blizzard flavors. I’m lucky if the Dairy Queen closest to me has 5 flavors available.

My husband and I got addicted to Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzards this past summer, in Canada. Now we are in Florida for the winter, and we still feel the same about them. Can’t get enough of them. Wish we could get more coupons, though. I think we have had a least one a week each since summer. We really should try other flavors, but just like these sooooo much!

I agree with the suggestions to bring back coupons, but when you do, make them portable. I travel a lot, and like to enjoy DQ when I visit friends and family around the country. A coupon that’s good only at my hometown store is no help.

Ok, let me start by saying that I love DQ!!!!! My family so annoyed at me cause I always want DQ. :) Haha. But, just a tip. When you send us the update for DQ you should add the coupons to it again. That helps a lot when I want to go to DQ cause I can say that we have a coupon. So, please consider that. Also, you should make mint m&m blizzard a blizzard of the month one of these months. That’s my favorite!!!!

Hello DQ, I love your Ice Cream Cakes!!!!! I like to buy them for the people at work to be able to thank them for there hard work. I’m not a supervisor or director I’m just an employee that likes to appreciate others. I also LOVE the Strawberry Blizzards and that I don’t share. In the summer I plan to buy some cakes for the program that we run here in the city of Victorville Ca, Please keep the coupons and promotions comming!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here’s a suggestion. How about an Almond Joy or Mounds Blizzard. I love Coconut and Chocolate.

I agree with the comments about the coupons; where are they?!?! I haven’t gone to DQ in a while because it’s cheaper to go to the store and buy ice cream, but when I have a coupon I have no reason to NOT go to DQ! I love the blizzards!!!

I also agree with the absence of the nerds blizzard. That one used to be my favorite but I haven’t seen it in my local DQs. Am I missing it or are they gone forever?

A few yrs ago when I worked at a DQ… one of my favorite ‘create your own’ blizzards was butterfinger w/ blueberry topping… mmm dont hate ;) try it!

What happened to the waffle cone blizzard? It’s been almost two years since DQ first sold it. Just because DQ now has waffle cone sundaes doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t have waffle cone Blizzards. Bring them back!

The most recent DQ happening where I live is that some crazy person got mad at the DQ drive-up order sign yesterday. He backed his car up and rammed the order sign, even moved the cement it sits in. He drove off a couple of blocks and then came back so the police could arrest him. How awful is that!

Hello… DQ is the BEST. I love the treats at DQ. They used to have a sundae called the Fiesta which was hot fudge on one side and butterscotch on the other – it was great. I also remember and they still fix them here the original blizzard which is basically a shake with a big portion of vanilla soft serve coming up thru the middle. My favorite blizzards are the chocolate cherry luv – whoppers (which is no longer available) and Reese’s peanut butter cups. Makes me hungry just thinking of them!

i use to always enjoy the free blizzard we would get once a month, that happened to that? we go a lot and really feel good about getting one free once in a awhile, things are tough and it would be nice to get those again,

DQ is critical to the well being and health of our city. We currently do not have one and are in danger of having to take tunnels and bridges to far away lands to satisfy our cravings. Please, Please, PLEASE BRING DQ TO NYC! This is a RED ALERT!

I’ve been eating blizzards since they were first introduced; I believe in the mid to late 80′s. We have seen the blizzard go through some changes and transitions, but I really miss not having Whoppers and Nestle’s Crunch to mix in my blizzard! We really need to try and get these candies back to the fans!

So i will ask a well. What has happened to our 2 for 1 Blizzard Coupons??! No one is giving an answer to the many people that have asked. I can’t believe that there is no one ,at the corporate level ,reading the blog. They were a great way to try out a new flavor without spending the outrageous $4.29 that our local , on the interstate exit DQ charges for a small one!!! So what’s up with that??????

Here is a good topic for discussion in this economic climate .What do all of you around the country pay for a Blizzard now anyway? Seems like a “whatever the traffic will bear” around here. Every location seems to be different as they can set their own prices.

What has happened to our BOGO free coupons for the Blizzards! We love our Blizzards! What is the point of being a member of the fan club without these perks?

We live in a small south texas town.In the summer its gets up to 120,so the blizzards are a welcomed treat.I love the Pecan Cluster and the Mississippi Mud Fudge.Keep em coming.Like the others have said it sure would be good to have the coupons again.

I have enjoyed the Blizzard treats since the 1990s. The ‘Mudpie’ Blizzard was my favorite: Oreo, coffee-cappuccino, loads of chocolate and the whipped toppings. Yum!

I joined and figured the bi-monthly, Buy One Get One Free deal was great. That was part of the reason for being in the Blizzard Club!
Now, all I get is spam emails telling me how great the overpriced “Flavour of the Month” is.

I love DQ, and a cherished childhood memory was the treat of my family going to Dairy Queen. When my wife and I were dating, we had a weekly Blizzard after our Friday date nights.

But with the prices now? – FORGET IT. A couple of ice cream treats for the family pushes the bill to beyond $20.00!!

So now it’s the grocery store and the rare coupon (if any)

Sorry DQ. I love you, but my wallet doesn’t. – Time to lower your prices to something realistic or face losing customers in droves.

I noticed a bunch of people talking about the Cotton Candy Blizzard? I’ve never had and now am quite intrigued, however it sounds like they aren’t making them anymore?

My favorite blizzard were the Mississippi Mud Pie, but they discontinued that one, now I get the chocolate fudge brownie batter, that one is delicious. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that’s missing the buy one get one free coupon.

Hey there! Love the new “social ” site. It’s great. My family loves DQ. We visit often, always buy our B-day and special occassion cakes at DQ too – but we REALLY miss the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Blizzard coupon. We considered it the reward for buying soo much DQ in my house. Plus it was a nice bright spot with all the economy issues. Will you be bringing that back?

I’ve gotta question. Why aren’t all DQ Blizzard’s created equal? One shop makes there Blizzard’s so that it soup by the time you are half way through it. The ice cream tastes – so – so. While the one in NH I love! Their Blizzard is rich, creamy and oh! So Thick! Definitely one to turn upside down. Do all the shops use the same ingredients or can they vary?

OMG! My twin and I love blizzards! One day we were eating them and on the cup it said there was a blizzard fan club! I had to join! So here I am…. dreaming about eating an m&m blizzard… i seriously just licked my lips.

33 years ago I had my first blizzard…it was a pecan cluster. I have never had any other kind since then! They don’t even list it anymore on their menu board but they still make them for me. yum!

My all time fav. was the reeses pieces blizzard. You can’t find that anywhere anymore. Please! Please! Please! Bring it back!!!!!!

I love Blizzards there is only one and it is 45min away everytime I go I get one and If the blizzard of the month doesn’t look appealing I won’t try it *the only one I’ve never tried is the choco cherry i don’t like cherry* o and the kit kat was nasty! I go back to my 2 favs French Silk or Chocolate Extreme. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup looked good yesterday hmmm maybe I will try it but as long as they got anything mint on their board that is what I will always get!! Bring back the Brownie Batter Blizzard that was and will always be my ALL time Favorite! I”m not going to sit here and whine about not getting couopons that sounds like a beggar on a corner saying “Will Work for Food”! LOL I agree with the post about a Mounds candy Blizzard, o YUM! The first thing I do when I receive your email is to look for the BOGO coupon. When it is not there, it’s sad.

I was EXTREMELY UPSET to learn from my local DQ that you are not bringing Cotton Candy blizzards back this month. I cannot eat chocolate and do not have many options. I am a faithful blizzard consumer and kindly request you bring Cotton Candy back and keep it here for good!

When are they ever going to bubble wrap the spoons ! Do you know how many people have touched the spoon you`re about to put in your mouth ? Where has that spoon been ? YUCK !

What ever happened to the German Chocolate Blizzard. Now that was a great taste combination. Medium chocolate soft serve with coconut and pecans is how I remember it. It you ask for it now, you get strange looks. Some DQ’s have offered to make it but many do not have all the ingredients. ie only toasted coconut….not the same. Look forward to the German Chocolate Blizzard to come back some day.
