Minty Fresh Blizzard® Treats!

WOW!  We absolutely delighted to hear how much everyone loves the Yule Flip Peppermint Chip and Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treats we’ve offered in the past.  AND we are so sorry to have disappointed all our peppermint fans!  I know we’ve responded to several of you individually and on a few of the blog threads. 

We want all of  you to know that we hear you, loud and clear. 

Right now we do have the Mint Oreo® Blizzard® treat available in stores (although we really do understand that it isn’t the same…) and have plans to feature a mint-flavored Blizzard of the Month in December 2011.

WOw, that sounds really good. Can’t wait to taste it. the flavor of the month is so-so to me this month. but i think others do like!!! Keep ‘em coming

my favorite of all time was the mint m and m. I really wish you would bring that back and I would be in heaven lol

I REALLY used to love getting chocolate ice-cream with the cherry dip on it. It was like a chocolate covered cherry and now that it’s not in any locations in Gahanna, Ohio and Cleveland, Ohio (two places I spend most of my time), I can only get the cherry Dilly Bars. Can you create some more items with the cherry dip, to bring it back as an option? A hot fudge sunday with a disgusting amount of that cherry dip is all I ever think of when I go into a DQ anymore.

If you plan on offering a mint-flavored blizzard in December 2011, it had better be the Candy Cane chill blizzard, there is nothing that can replace that one, mint or not mint, it stands alone. I am truly missing that blizzard this year. Now I am having to wait a whole year, and than the mint one may not be the Candy Cane Chill blizzard. That is a bit much.

Oreo blizzard is my favorite. But Strawberry Cheesequake is a close second. But my favorite dessert is peach cobbler. So I was wondering if you could make a blizzard with peaches, vanilla ice cream, and crust? Or create something similar to a peach cobbler.ia

Why do some stores have the p-nut butter fudge & others only offer the Reeses cup blizzard?/ The P-nut butter added to an oreo blizzard is AMAZING & a lot of my friends agree. There are not a lot of DQ in my area but we drive far to go! Also – I prefer the Mint Oreo blizzard to those hard p-mint chips! So now get the PNB out there & I can stop making my blizzards at home! THANKS

I know, right?? I waited a whole year for Candy Cane Blizzards like the one’s you had last year with the chocolate chips, just to find that there are none this year! AND I was told they would not be made next year either! I’m glad I’m not the only one who was vocal about the decision to nix the Candy Cane Blizzard. Bring it back ASAP! Thanks!

Hi Dairy Queen I am writting to you because I was really hoping for your Yule Flip Peppermint and Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treats! I love Candy Cane and you guys always make the best Blizzards. Is there a way you could make some before Christmas. Signed Candy Cane lover.

If I brought my own candy would you mix it in? The reason I’m asking is cuz you at one time had kit Kat blizzard and it was my fav and quit making this blizzard for unknown reasons

Just adding my two cents that I’m really disappointed about the peppermint blizzards AND ice cream cake not being available this year. I might be 42 tomorrow but I still love ice cream and every year, my family has gotten me the peppermint ice cream cake. I’m not very happy about this so I’m glad you have heard from so many fans about it, too.

We have to wait a whole year??? My bday is december and I enjoy the peppermint blizzard as my treat for the month. Drat!

Nothing will replace the Yule Flip blizzard….candy canes and Christmas go together and it is a differant kind of mint…..BRING IT BACK!!!

I just went to get a Yule Flip Blizzard–I can’t believe they are gone! I loved them so much last year, I kept searching for DQ’s that still had the goods to make them in January. I rarely buy a Blizzard in the winter, but Yule Flip gave me a reason go to DQ often–I even brought friends that didn’t usually go! I guess I won’t be this year. Oh, PLEASE bring it back in January!!

UMM WHY CAN”T THEY HAVE IT ALL YEAR LONG. IS IT THAT HARD TO KEEP SOME PEPPERMINT AROUND SINCE THEY ALREADY HAVE CHOCOLATE CHIPS!! IT REALLY ISN’T THAT DIFFICULT!!

I have to agree with everyone about being super disappointed this year. I look forward to the peppermint blizzard every year. This year, I’m pregnant with my first baby and have been craving the December Blizzard since October. I actually cried when I found out Dairy Queen wasn’t offering it. That’s right Dairy Queen…you made a pregnant woman cry at Christmas time.

I also miss the Yule Flip Blizzard. Just tried the Reindeer Bites Blizzard and it just wasn’t as good and the Yule Flip. Please bring it back. It just doesn’t seem like December without at least one Yule Flip Blizzard.

I really, really, really, really want the Candy Cane Blizzards back, and I can’t wait for a whole year. I am six years old, and I love Dairy Queen. Me and my sister Gill always go when she comes to visit. We are really excited for when the Candy Cane Blizzard comes back next year!

This year will not be the same as years in the past. I knew there was a hole in the holiday this year and wanted to fill it with my favorite Blizzard of all time. But what to my wondering eyes should see but Coconut and reindeer all mixed together. Well the hole is still here and as I read it will be here for a long winters nap. Please bring the peppermint chocolate Blizzard back. A year is too long to wait.

I have been so excited to go get the Yule Flip Blizzard and just drove over 20 minutes to the nearest DQ to find out that you do not have them this year!!! I thought it was a joke – what are you thinking??? And why do the Dairy Queens in Portland, Oregon have them? My sister got one there this month! And if you can’t tell by everyone’s comments, we only want the Yule Flip Blizzard – not just any mint blizzard. Come on, DQ – you need to make this right and SOON!

My wife and I have been waiting all year for the candy cane blizzard, and I’d like to add my name to the list of really disappointed people. Please bring it back next year!

Dear DQ Corporate,
Shame on you for making that pregnant woman cry! (And many other grown men and women!) You MUST bring back the Yule Flip Blizzard in JANUARY to help us make it through the year. My family ALWAYS stops on the long drive home after Christmas from my mom’s house to get this blizzard. It is not Christmas without it! If this many people have written, just think about the thousands who have not. Don’t disappoint us again. LONG LIVE THE PEPPERMINT/CHOCOLATE CHIP BLIZZARD!!!

We have local stores selling peppermint candy ice cream year round so it must be a popular flavor. Hopefully DQ brings back the PEPPERMINT blizzard and doesn’t try to reinvent/replace a definite winner. Please listen to the fans!

Dear DQ,

Please know that you are responsible for making at least TWO pregnant women cry! My wife is expecting our second baby and just like the first time, she’s suffering from morning-day-and-night sickness. The only thing she wanted to ease her pain was some Candy Cane Blizzard. So not only was she denied her holiday treat, she also couldn’t get her Candy Cane Blizzard birthday cake! Instead she had to settle for a regular cake and couldn’t even enjoy it.

Does the person deciding blizzard of the month not know anything about profits? Can’t imagine the decrease in sales due to not having peppermint blizzard in 2010. All my blizzard friend fans would’ve bought 2-5 blizzards each in Dec that they didn’t due to no peppermint.
