Prepare for Black Friday with a Blizzard Treat

Hey Fans! So, Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Some like to call it “Black Friday”, which I never really understood, I think it should be called Stress-Friday. Something about getting in my car at 4am and heading out to a zoo of cars in the department store parking lot never really made me a “happy camper”. But, you know how I get though the day? It’s a little secret I’ve been doing for the last few years.

Here it is… Between every store I go to, I make a pit stop at my local DQ for a Blizzard Treat! Pretty genius, huh? That way I don’t get all hot and bothered about all the craziness that happens throughout the day. Something about soft serve and my favorite toppings has a way of taking the edge off! Happy shopping, fans!

Love DQ have one down the street 1/2 mile from my home. What could be better inCA when temps get in the triple digits?

It’s called Black Friday because it’s when hopefully all the retailers go from red to black on their profit/loss statements.

The Snickers Blizzard is the most lip smacking, delicious, crunching, creamy blizzard out there…yummy! No matter how cold it is outside.

Eating a Blizzard after all I will eat on Thurs. is not really good for my pre-diabetes or weight control program. However, I may have to have one as it is my favorite food.

There is a Dairy Queen right across the street from my work…..I might have to dash over to get a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard mid-day to keep me going until dinner at 7. Love DQ.

Please bring back the Candy Cane Chill blizzard! I always looked forward to getting one when it was time for the holidays to roll around. DQ was my first employer when I was a teen and I appreciate the company. I was so disappointed to hear that the Candy Cane Chill would not be coming back this year, nor next year, thus was discontinued. Please bring it back!! It was a refreshing treat to look forward to at Christmastime. Please reconsider bringing it back. Thank you.

This time I have to thank you Carolyn for feeling for all the dq/blizzard fans out there but it is kind of ok since I found a dq that still has the strawberry golden Oreo for a little longer& I am looking foward to the reindeer bite blizzard(sorry if you find it spoiling& your welcome if you wanted to know) which has dq vanilla soft serve,choco chunks,pie crust pieces, & topped with caramel& shredded coconut(thank you dq for taking my messege about the november blizzard of the month messege & put something new but I do have a request do you mind if you put it in idq calculator so others can know about it.

Hi, Jeffrey! I am sorry we have so disappointed you. Because we track where all products come from that are used in Dairy Queen products in all DQ stores and restaurants, we cannot accept food brought in that we have not sourced ourselves.

I too Jeffrey am REALLY DISSAPOINTED about not having the candy cane blizzard this year!!! I too have been waiting 11 months to have it…. If your not going to make it your “blizzard of the month” atleast have it avaliable so we can still buy it if we soo choose too!!! I’d say Candy Cane Blizzard sounds wayyyyyyyy better than the new one!!

I am glad you put the reindeer bite blizzard instead o candy cane chill but I am sorry for those of you who love the blizzard but please try it you don’t know what you’re missing. Also I got bad news but greater news the bad news is my birthday is coming on December 7 but the bad news is I am not getting a blizzard or even a lousy cake but the great news is I am getting a blizzard cake so I thank you people of dairy queen for giving me the $3 off coupon. We are so disappointed that there are no candy cane blizzards, too…we look forward to it all year and actually go several times a week during the holiday to get them….please bring them back!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I have waited ALL stinking year for that Candy Cane Blizzard!!! I will not be bringing my business back to DQ until you bring it back, you can bet on it.

Thanks for the reply, Carolyn! I’m confused though… There are people on twitter saying that they bought a “peppermint chip” blizzard at their local Dairy Queen yesterday… Is that true? If so, what’s the difference between a peppermint chip blizzard and a candy cane blizzard? Is the peppermint chip blizzard available everywhere? Thanks!

Hi, Jeffrey! Thanks for your note. The Yule Flip Peppermint Chip and Candy Cane Chill Blizzards are not available this year. If there are locations selling these flavors, they are doing so on their own. With that said, the Mint Oreo Blizzard is one of our 25 for 25 Blizzard Flavors and all DQ stores and restaurants are required to carry that flavor. I hope this helps!

WOW, I have been waiting the last 3 months asking the ladies at the local DQ when the Candy Cane blizzard will be back… and they told me soon. Now I hear this terrible news that it isn’t coming back ever. This is very depressing news.

Couldn’t you add a peppermint blizzard or a candy cane blizzard or something? I really love them and I wish I could bring in a candy cane and ask the ladies to grind it up in a blizzard for me. I think I will try even though you say they aren’t allowed to do it.

You really need to bring back the Candy Cane Blizzard ASAP. This is like a Blizzard Emergency in my opinion! :)

The Reindeer Bites does—bite, that is. I have an entire Operating Room Staff who have been waiting for the Candy Cane blizzard for the past 11 months! What a great disappointment from DQ. This substitution is a very poor, mediocre product indeed. Question: who was the brain trust that came up with this idea???
