Hey Blizz fans,
It’s going to be a rewarding summer for kids in Carver County, MN. Their local DQ teamed up with the Carver County Sheriff’s Department to give free dipped cones to kids who “get caught” wearing their helmets while rollerblading or biking. GREAT IDEA!
I love hearing about DQ getting involved in the community. Do you have any stories about your local DQ? Maybe they sponsor a little league team or host a special event. Let’s hear it, Blizz fans!

My step mom got pulled over on her bike by a cop because she was riding on the wrong side of the road AND she had ear phones in. She got off with a warning. The good thing that came out of it was the cop gave her a free blizzard coupon for wearing a helmet. This was in Coon Rapids Minnesota.
Where are the coupons for Blizzards that we used to receive from you. I would use them the next day after receiving them. Tiz the Season.
She is just the cutest and thank you to the person that made sure that she is safe for her ride…

YEAH for safety helmets and…brownie batter blizzards!
I had to stop EVERYTHING when I heard the commercial announcing the brownie batter blizzard was back! YEAH! I’ve missed it soooo much. I used to get one at least once a week. Sadly, when the brownie batter blizzard was no longer offered I rarely visited DQ for ice cream.
The DQ in our town has been around for over 50 years and is always super supportive to the community. It has been owned by the same family for all 50+ years and its a great place to be. About four or five years ago was their 50th anniversary and as a treat and a thank you to the community for all the business over the past 50 years they sold all cones, shakes, and dishes of ice cream for the price they were 50 years ago when their establishment first opened. It was great to get an ice cream cone for 10 cents and it’s great to have such a wonderful DQ family in our community.
My youngest daughter had a reading goal to be met every month for her class at school. If the goal was met they were rewarded with a free personal pizza. I think I will talk to our local DQ to see if we can’t work out that deal for a free cone instead.
Went to the DQ in N. Reading today and was surprised to find “no place to sit”. No tables, no benches, etc. outside.
