The Blizzard 25th Challenge!

Hey Blizz fans,
I challenge you to a Blizz off! What’s that you ask? Well, I don’t actually know… I just made that up. But, there is this sweet thing that DQ is doing that’s not made up, it’s called the Blizzard 25th Challenge.
To honor our beloved Blizz on its 25th B-Day, the people over at DQ are taste-testing all 25 flavors on the new Blizzard Birthday menu. Each flavor is given a spoon rating to indicate which flavors are the best in each of the four categories: Cookie Lovers, Candy Cravers, Fruit Fans, and Chocoholics.

When I was in college (many, many years before blizzards), there was a soft ice cream machine in the cafeteria. My roommate and I would take a glass, add 1/2 glass full of Golden Grahams Cereal, a big spoonful of peanut butter, and hot fudge sauce, then fill the glass to the top with soft ice cream, and stir, and stir, and stir.
We kind of had our own flavor of a Blizzard long before the Blizzard was invented! If you make that one of your flavors, call it “Freshman 15″, or something to remind us of those days of eating all kinds of delightful food….and all at one meal!! It was amazing to a suburban gal who’d hardly ever eaten out, to have so many choices at one meal!! The Blizzard is the best, and we make “Blizzard Runs” with our five kids. Now, just one little one is left at home, and she’s gonna be my “Blizzard Pal” for the next few years!! Go Dairy Queen!! Ice cream is “Happy Food”!!!
My favorite flavor used to be Reece’s Pieces – we used to get them after our Cub Scouts den meetings.
I miss the.mudd pie blizzard!
