Spring breaking news! A new trend is sweeping the streets, beaches and park benches of North America. First it was planking, then it was “owling” and now, I give you “Blizz- Treating.” According to the latest edition of the DQ® Dictionary, “Blizz-Treating” is defined as “sharing that sweet, sweet love by inviting a friend to DQ, buying one Blizzard® Treat for yourself and getting another for just 99 cents for your buddy.” Get to a participating DQ to give it a try, then snap a pic of the two Blizzard Treats snuggling together and post them online. Like all trends, this one has an expiration date. In Canada it’s March 25, and in the U.S. it’s March 31. Celebrate spring break by Blizz-Treating someone. You never know, they may even return the favor.

You know what would be a really great Blizzard for April!? Cadbury Cream Egg Blizzard! Would LOVE to see that on the Blizzard menu!

I knew it would be the next big thing , I always believed in it & it came ( woohoo!!!!! ) , my Blizz garden may have not grown yet ( hopefully it will ) but then that’s now a perfect opportunity to ask a DQ worker how to do it with my Blizz. Now since Blizz treating is now the big thing I hope this would rise again like the powerful pumpkin pie Blizzard® treat. As for the pictures well q all know the populatity of these Blizzard® treats are ( ever since 1985 ) that q just HAVE to take pictures of it’s coolness of the Blizzard® defying gravity ( the Blizzard® follows it’s own rules , take that gravity ). And the photos are actually as always very pretty , as for the # of photos , I choco cherry love the # of photos , however others might say that I am just being nutty bananas all about it , & that the # of photos are getting brownie batter & batter. But I beg to differ. Hmmm now I’m thinking maybe , just maybe , that this opportunity let’s either me act like a squirrel since I’m trying to gather the most I can to save just in case of a Blizzurgency or that maybe I can treat a squirrel & maybe they can help with my Blizzard® garden along with my Steve when I treat him with a Blizzard® treat so he could turn to a leprcaughn again to help the Blizzard® garden grow. Well I might be busy but I know for sure I am NEVER TOO BUSY FOR Blizzard® treat!! ( I choco cherry love my catch phrases & don’t worry I remember Choco cherry love said I can use it )  & also fellow Blizz fans PLEASE DON’T STOP BEING THE BEST FANS EVER ( while I’m THE GREATEST OF THE BEST FANS EVER & my bro is the prez ).

I would love to see a puppy chow blizzard! Some people call them muddy buddies too but come on :) It’s peanut butter,chocolate over chex mix covered in powdered sugar…mix that with some ice cream and i’m sure it’ll be amazing. everyone loves puppy chow!

Hey fellow Blizz fans q must keep this on the down low because this is very classified news. In fact it’s not suppose to be realeased till l8r But I’m only telling q this because it involves Blizzard® treats ( as all my messages do ) , I must tell someone ( but don’t tell anyone else except for my Blizz bro the Blizz prez if he’s not reading this ) & who else to tell than the world’s best fans , the Blizzard® fan club members ( while I am THE GREATEST OF THE BEST FANS EVER!!!!!!! While my bro is prez ). Now on to the news k. This April here is no fooling the new Blizzard® of the month must be treated with care , & must be loved like all Blizzard® treats. The upcoming  Blizzard® of the month has sweet caramel ( ahh so sweet ) , rich Choco chunks ( rich in taste that’s what I’ll say ) , with real pie crust pieces ( the one & only real deal which is the one of a kind Blizzard® treat ) , which means it must be carefully blended with sweet creamy DQ vanilla soft serve ( everyone has to have their soft side ) , & topped with whipped topping ( just to top it all of since it’s so carefully constructed ). That’s so great because now DQ has even the perfect name for this Blizzard® it’s THE CARAMEL DELIGHT PIE BLIZZARD® TREAT ( the name sounds so perfect & its so delightful ). Well that’s it for now I got more news but that’s till l8r & I would just be repeating myself as for the meantime always remember fellow Blizz fans PLEASE DON’T STOP BEING THE BEST FANS EVER ( while I’m THE GREATEST OF THE BEST FANS EVER & my bro is the prez. Even Choco cherry said so which means it’s official since it’s been said by an actual Blizzard® treat ).

New Blizzard idea!!! Our favorite blizzard is a snickers blizzard with vanilla ice cream, instead of the normal chocolate syrup our dairy Queen likes to add, we prefer to have them add the hard shell chocolate. All I can say is YUUUMMMMM!!!!! Give it a try!

It figures, Again Canada sucks the big one! why is it in the USA the buy a second for .99 goes to the end of March. Yet good ole pathetic Canada ends it March 25. Canada is sooo lame, USA obviously care about their DQ customers alot more !!! way to go USA !!!!

I’m not sure if the DQ I just went to was wrong, or if this post is out of date, but I was JUST (3/28) at the DQ in Springfield, OR and they said the BOGO for $.99 ended on the 25th.

I think that all franchise owners should run the promotions for the same length of time. There would be a lot fewer dissatisfied, disappointed, angry customers. I just had the same experience as RS and I can tell you I left without buying a thing. Maybe if that happened enough times promotions would change.

Im sure their are many great ideas for Blizzards that we have not seen yet. I propose this one and I have dubbed it the #GreatestBlizzardOfAllTime. I give to you, the Swiss Cake Roll Blizzard. I wish somehow, someway they could at least give it a run for a month or two, just to see if it catches on. I would be at my DQ twice a day for this gem. Thanks DQ for allowing me to express my feelings. #makeithappen.

I work at a Dairy Queen and so many costumers always ask about the cotton candy blizzard! Not only does it seem like it’d be a seller but it’s also my favorite :)

Pleaseeeee bring back the cotton candy blizzard!! I used to get those all the time. I went to DQ a couple days ago just to get one and they said they didn’t have them. I was shocked!! Please bring it back!! That was the BEST blizzard I have ever had. You should make samples for customers to try them. I had not tried one until a friend had one, and then I was hooked!

I would LOVE to see the cotton candy blizzard come back!!! One of my absolute favorites! I’d also like to see the nerds blizzard make a return, attempting to make it myself just never turns out quite the same.

I agree with the others…. Cotton Candy is the best blizzard EVER!! And I worked at DQ in high school so I’ve had a LOT of blizzards. :o ) Please bring it back!!

I have always loved eating blizzards, but when I had the Cotton Candy Blizzard I was more than enamored with that flavor. It is still my favorite blizzard even though DQ no longer makes it. I wish DQ would bring it back! What is the hold up?

I am in agreement with so many others here. How can you discontiue a flavor that was obviously a hit with so many people? Not only should you bring it back – it should be a staple menu item. I too visit DQ very rarely now since you discontinued this flavor a few years ago.

cotton candy blizzard is a must!!! I haven’t seen it in years! I remembered when it came back. I would drive to the mall and scrape Pennies for it! I used to get extra syrup…less crunchy bits. when I was a lot younger I remember when it first came out and they used to dip the Cones in the syrup…gave it a hard sweet cotton candy flavor!!! you guys are making a huge mistake! bring it back! at least during the summer when there is a lot of carnivals! franchisee should v def consider it…cash crop!!! I agree 1,000% with everybody else!! The cotton candy blizzard not only should be brought back, but should be made a permanent addition to the menu!!! The last time it was around, I stopped by every single day and got the biggest blizzard they had. It was SO wonderful. After they took it away again, I tried to find another flavor that I could love. But it just wasn’t happening. Eventually I stopped going to DQ all together.

I am in full agreement with the previous comments. The cotton candy blizzard was the only item I ever enjoyed on your menu. The crunchy pieces and sweet flavor help to mask how crappy your ice cream is.

I loved the Cotton Candy Blizzard. I’m so disappointed that it is never there when I go to DQ. It really makes no sense to me how, if there is obviously such a demand for it, it can be refused to be added to the menu.

I really liked the cotton candy blizzard, why don’t they bring it back. When they had them in the past, i would buy 5 or 6 at a time and keep them in my freezer. Best thing they ever made.

Please bring back the cotton candy blizzard. It is my favorite. I live 1 block away from DQ and you never have anything I want. I want the cotton candy blizzard 1. And 2 where’s the nerds, I have to go to Culvers for nerds, and Oberwise for cotton candy. Oberwise is 25 miles away and Culvers is 12. I don’t like driving that far when you are within a stones throw. Do a special double blizzards of the month. Like a duo if there aren’t enough months in the year to do them all. My husbands favorite is the french silk blizzard. I don’t remember that one. Please please don’t make me beg. I’m serious I stand in DQ staring at the menu and then say how you have nothing I want and how I hope for the cotton candy blizzard. Thank you.

A few years ago my nearest Dairy Queen offered Reese’s Pieces in their Blizzards. I loved it. When I moved for work, I was no longer able to find a Dairy Queen that offered them. I’ve tried a few other flavors, but none of them compare. As a result, I’ve decided Blizzards just aren’t worth buying without Reese’s Pieces as an option. If you do start offering Reese’s Pieces again please let me know, I’ll be first in line to start buying again.

Why oh why do u come out with new blizzards when u stop sellin them a month later! I’ve been craving a NutterButter blizzard for months now (especially in August because I thought it might be the blizzard of the month like last year) but no, y’all haven’t brought it back…. So instead of going to DQ, I take my butt to Cold Stone instead since they are consistent. They don’t give me something I like then stop selling it. Bring back ur flavors!!!!! Cotton candy was awesome too and hmm it’s gone! Ill get my ice cream at CS until then :/

Thanks for posting, Rachelle – we do have a number of limited time offerings at DQ stores and restaurants to keep things new and fresh for our customers. That does mean that sometimes a new favorite is only offered for a short while. It also isn’t possible for all our stores to carry all the flavors we’ve ever offered. A limited time offering is also a way for us to try out new flavors. For example, our CheeseQuake Blizzards were once limited time offerings….

I feel as though this post may be redundant. But the DAY the cotton candy Blizzard comes back is the DAY I walk into the nearest DQ and drop MY hard earned dollars on that godly confection. And I will be back. Oh I will be back. Many, many times.

Hello there I am from British Columbia I know my entire family wants this confection back very badly there is thousands of people in my town. That would go crazy if it were to come back so think about it like this use these comments as a poll to see which blizzard is wanted back the most on a company perspective every single DQ I went to was sold out back when u guys had it out last so what I’m trying to say is pretty please with a cherry on top can you bring back the best thing Dairy Queen has ever created

I haven’t been to Dairy Queen in years all because they got rid of the cotton candy blizzard and i will not be returning till i see a commercial on my television announcing that its back ( and should be permeant) the only place that gets my money is Rita’s and the cotton candy misto shake it is the next best thing since Dairy Queen dropped ther blizzard and to all of my cotton candy lovers i advise u run to your nearest Rita’s and try this thing out until these guys get the picture and bring back the cotton candy blizzard

Bring back cotton candy! The only reason I ever went to DQ was because I was IN LOVE with the cotton candy blizzard! Every time I went there I’d get the biggest size they had! Now that you guys don’t have it I don’t go there. Cotton candy blizzards should be a permanent item on the menu! Advertise it on TV for a week; they’ll be selling like hotcakes! :-)

I agree with everyone else here- bring back the Cotton Candy Blizzard! I used to get thee twice a week, but the last time they were released I didn’t even know they were back until a couple days AFTER they were discontinued again… Shame, they were the perfect ending to a nice double cheeseburger meal.

I haven’t came back to dairy queen after i found out that cotton candy blizzard was discontinued and that was YEARS AGO! BRING COTTON CANDY BLIZZARD BACK YO.

The Blizzards have gone downhill ever since the Cotton Candy Blizzard was discontinued :/ And it seems to me, if this many people think you should bring it back, well then maybe you should?

Our Cotton Candy Blizzard was a limited time offering. I know it was delicious and many people would like to see it available again. I am sorry to disappoint you, however I know of no plans to bring it back.

I can’t imagine why the Cotton Candy blizzard has not been brought back after all of the obvious demand people have for it. I realize it did not sell well last time it was brought back, but I think now there is more than enough people who will run to get it this time. I suppose you could be waiting, because the longer you wait to come back with it, the more people will want it?

Please please please bring back the Confetti Cake blizzard and the cotton candy blizzard!!!

@ BB I’m glad you are answering the posters about the cotton candy blizzard but your responses are disheartening! It’s summer time at least talk to the product development team and let them know how many of us WANT AND NEED THE COTTON CANDY BLIZZARD! So they can give it another try! Looks like its guaranteed to be a top seller and by the way please make it availalble to all markets not just in the south. We pacific northwesterners and westerners like cotton candy lizards too :-)

Thanks for your reply. However back in 2008 we brought this Blizzard back due to customer demand only to experience disappointing customer sales. So unfortunately because this Blizzard history I know of no plans to bring this Blizzard back into our stores! I’m so sorry!
