Wow, can’t believe it’s been 25 years already! Hey, you guys are on the right track with the Cookie Jar blizzard, but you have not hit on the ultimate combination yet. I have it! It’s cookie dough and Heath! Soft chewy cookie dough with crunch toffee bits…heaven on earth! Hmmm…is that what we’d call it??? Try it, it’s the best!

I really think that the logo you guys thought were good were fantastic, I hope that the blizzard flavour will be better though!! But next time(if there is) list ALL of the flavours for us to choose from because some people might not have liked the ones that you chose because I know I didn’t like any of them because u didn’t list Oreo or Cookie Dough! It just occurred to me — 25th birthday? I worked at a DQ in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1965 and we were making Blizzards then. Granted they weren’t the fancy ones with cookie bits and candy bits — it was all based on how much DQ (if I remember correct, it was 12 ounces) and how little milk — and as part of the sales process in order to show the customer that you were selling him a Blizzard, you had to turn the completed cup upside down before giving it to him to prove that it was a Blizzard. And I have a very funny story that goes with that –

P.S. I was also working when we made the very first Buster Bars — which also made for a few laughs as we tried to get that one right.

I LOVE IT!! Even though we do not live close to Dairy Queen, when I was growing up we would have dinner every Sunday at my grandparents. They had a DQ right next door – so after dinner we would go get our favorite treats. Sometimes it was the lime Dilly Bar, other times my all time favorite is the Peanut Buster Parfait. MMMM Happy Birthday Blizzard (my daughters favorite treat).

Well thats Blizzatastic , I have to say ,, My Better half was worried about my Blizzard addictions .. and my waste Line .. then I showed her the DQ I frequent Is 2.5 Km away so Now I walk there and home again .. so now she only worries when I work Blizzard In to everyday conversation

As an Ex-DQ employee (1986 – 1991) I say Happy Birthday! Going as strong today as they were in Year 2!

I was looking at the logo and see it’s the 25th birthday you should do like the Tim Horton’s coffee shops do and have a “roll up the rim” thing. If your not familar it’s a period that when you get you coffee after your done there is a spot your roll up the rim. It will reveal prized.
In your case it could be things like you won a blizzard, ice cream cake, sunday, etc.
do it as a promo during your slowest month. People like the chance to win stuff and I bet it would boost business.

husband will celebrate 25 BLISSFUL years together. We got married on Monday March 11,1985. We will be redoing our wedding vows again.
His favorite blizzard was the Banana Split.

I have to say it doesn’t seem like 25 yrs, as I worked for DQ in the of 1985. We served those Blizzards upside down. Most were not a problem to do this with, but the Tropical Blizzard could be tricky. Blizzards are still one of my favorite treats, love the chocolate extreme. When I was making them butterfinger was by far my favorite.

Loved Blizzards, and don’t you know every other ice cream shop has their own version of YOUR original Blizzard! I was just in Oklahoma, and they have an ice cream shop there that calls it “MIX”. Funny huh? But we all know and call it a Blizzard!

My favorite blizzard is the Peanut Butter Crunch. It was a Peanut Butter syrup mixed with the chocolate crunch pieces that are used on your cakes. It was the only one I would order. The Peanut butter cup just doesn’t compare to it. I wish DQ would bring it back. Now, I only order the Frozen Hot Chocolate (which has also been taken off the menu).

I have been boycotting DQ this summer because they took away the COTTON CANDY blizzard.

I like all the flavors of blizzards. I also like eating at Dairy Queen. My favorits blizzard is still the Hawaiian . The logo looks very good.

I remember back in the late 80′s requesting coffee flavor to be added to my blizzard. I would make the person add extra flavor and I loved it. That was my first frap via DQ. Love how gen x brought in the popularity of blended coffee drinks about. I will always remember the pumped in coffee flavor added into my blizzard and how the employees thought I was so crazy, but I loved DQ and they always made me happy.
Key Lime Pie, Pecan Pie and any other type of pie are FAB ideas. Chocolate covered cherry pie, chocolate pumpkin pie, caramel apple with fudge….I don’t think you could go wrong unless it was chocolate covered jalapeño pie. LOL
Thanks DQ for years of yummy delicious treats. I will also always remember hand dipped cherry dilly bars. They were a treat during the summer months where I grew up in MN. We would enjoy them after T-ball or the 4th of July or our little summer festivals.

I vote for the return of the ‘Carmel Waffle Crisp’ Blizzard, once featured but only to be removed from your menu when you discontinued sending the waffle pieces (thanks to those ‘maverick’ owners who will, under pressure, sacrifice a waffle cone and whip one up anyway). I think this is the logo I voted for, but I really wanted to chime in on the Blizzard flavors. Blizzard is my favorite sweet treat.

Unfortunately, I am gluten intolerant (nothing made with flour like cookies, pie crust, stuff like that). Therefore, most of the normal flavors have to be adjusted. AND, I am a chocoholic!!! I have found that currently, the best one that meets all of my requirements is the Chocolate Extreme, hold the brownie bits, and add pecans. It is better than just going with a candy bar flavor. Wish you would come up with other flavors that do not routinely add cookies or pie crust.

I agree with the entry that suggested you list the ingredients on a web site. Sometimes it is obvious, but occasionally, I have to ask the counter staff. They never mind telling me, but I hesitate because there is always such a line waiting!!!!

Up here in the vast wastelands of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where snowshoes and blizzards are an urban legend, the DQ Blizzard is a reality worth going for, spring, summer, fall and even winter.

I love the blizzard Chocolate Extreme with the new logo it would add a better combo to the play. I hope they make a blizzard that has all the other blizzard types mixed in it. Some people might think its bad but it would be cool if they said it was a mystery on April Fools and someone ate it. That would be funny.LOL.

The cookie jar blizzard is the best yet, but I change mine to have chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla, and it was even better.

I really love the oreo blizzard with chocolate ice cream. I always get a small size because at the Dairy Queen by my house in WI, they flip it around in the air and behind their backs – the best part is if they drop it, you get a free upgrade. You guys should check into that!
