Fall, autumn—whatever you call it, I love it. There’s just so much to do and so little extreme weather to keep me from doing it. On crisp fall afternoons, you can find me picking apples or going on hayrides—and afterward you’ll find me at a DQ® store. In fact, last week when I got ridiculously lost in a corn maze, it was my beloved Blizzard® Treat that came to my rescue. I was wandering helplessly, walls of cornhusks taunting me at every dead end. Five minutes turned into a half-hour, which turned into—okay, it was probably only like 10 minutes, but it felt like days! And the thing that kept me searching for the exit was a craving for vanilla soft serve blended with chewy Snickers® pieces. I followed that thought like a sweet, creamy beacon in the middle of a storm and finally found my way out. So what’s your favorite fall activity?

I’ve got all the necessary tools, plenty of newspaper for easy cleanup and a Halloween-themed playlist (truth: it’s just “Monster Mash” on repeat). It’s going to be a blast. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the wisdom we’ve gained from our teachers. Without their know-how, how could we calculate how many Blizzard® Treats we could buy with the random assortment of change in our glove compartments? Or understand the physics behind the upside-down cup trick? Or compose an ode to our favorite treats in iambic pentameter? We have a lot to thank them for. Luckily for us, Friday, October 5 is World Teachers Day. If you’re looking for a way to tell your favorite mentor, “Thanks, I never could’ve multiplied those fractions without you,” why not get them a DQ® gift card? It sure beats clapping erasers after class.

What do you get the cookie that has everything? That’s the pickle I’m in, what with the OREO® cookie turning 100. All my usual go-to presents—chocolaty cookies, delectable cream, the adoration of children and adults alike—don’t really work here. DQ® had a great idea: celebrate the classic cookie by declaring its namesake treat the Blizzard® of the Month! A whole month spent honoring OREO® cookie pieces crumbled and tumbled with creamy vanilla soft serve. Genius. Wish I’d thought of it. The OREO®Blizzard® 100 competition end is nigh. Tonight, at midnight, the race will finally come to a close. But before it ends, fans, I have a confession to make. As your president, I have toured all four corners of the country and watched in awe as you and your teammates checked into DQ® store after DQ store. Because I hold office, I myself wasn’t allowed to participate, but I desperately craved a slice of the action. So I purchased an OREO®Blizzard Treat—then another and another, until I had honored all 100 years of the humble OREO® cookie. I also made this—

Fans, today is my big annual Mysterious Day Out. Because it’s mysterious, I can’t tell you exactly where I’m going, but I will give you some clues to help you guess. Ready? My day begins with the purchase of a ticket. Then I’ll visit the baby animals and have my photo taken with a giant pumpkin, try to muster up the courage to go on a scary ride, win a fluffy toy, creep my way through a haunted house and ride the Ferris wheel. By now I’ll be starved, so I’ll hightail it from the place-that-shall-not-be-named to my local DQ® store and order an M&M’s® Brownie Blizzard® Treat. Did you solve the mystery of where I’m going yet? I guess I could give you one more clue. It rhymes with “share,” starts with an “f” and ends with an “r”—or in my case, a Blizzard Treat and a “nom, nom, nom.”
