At that time the honors went to Sam Temperato of the Dairy Queen of Saint Louis group in Missouri as the driving force behind introducing the Blizzard to the entire Dairy Queen system. I worked at a Dairy Queen in 1960 and the Blizzard was one of the menu items at that time. I personally made and sold many Blizzards over 50 years ago.
