My husband and I also stopped at DQ between our ceremony and reception on July 1, 2005. We have the exact same picture of us linking arms to take a bite of our cones!

We celebrated 4 years together yesterday with another DQ treat!

Love it! What a great story. And a great picture of your mom and dad, too!
My husband owns two DQs in Maine. He actually proposed to me on the reader board and the local paper caught wind of it, running a front page story. It also happened to be Valentine’s Day. We, too, had DQ ice cream cake at our wedding, along with traditional wedding cake, beautifully decorated by his cake decorator at the store. Not one to leave well enough alone, he’s also used the DQ reader board to announce the births of our two children. Great family memories!
