I think it will be cool to have a good menu its been awhile since I been to a dairy queen so hopefully I will go and try the new menu

I would jump up on a table in the biggest Dairy Queen center around, and woot like a gorilla while pointing at my mouth like i’m hungry!!

Every blizzard I eat at DQ, I eat in memory of a good friend of mine. He loved blizzards as much as I do, and we used to race from our houses to the nearest DQ to either of us (we lived about 25 mins away from each other) to try and buy our blizzard and make it back to the computer on time. Great memories. I miss him dearly.

Finally, a menu that understands the holes in my pocket and the fact that I like things MY WAY! Now I can choose! Thanks DQ

We posted an offer on our blog. It’s pretty substantial and a little degrading, but man we love your food. And we have one within minutes of our office.

I sure wish steak fingers would’ve made it onto the Sweet Treats menu. I love ‘em.

Dairy Queen’s deals brings back a memory when my Grandmother took me to Dairy Queen and treated me to a banana split which cost $.75 back then. Boy, that was a highlight of my life and I will never forget how large this banana split and how wonderful it tasted. To this day, I look forward to going to Dairy Queen, always in rememberence of my first visit with Grandma!

I would rock the 3 for 4!
Dog/ Rings and Dipped cone. MMMMM good for under 4!
Now Im hungry…

I would do the 3 for 4 deal! A chess burger, onion rings, and a soft drink! So the question at hand that potentially decides whether or not I get to try the Dairy Queen Sweet Deals Menu for free every week for a whole year is, “What would I do to get to try the Dairy Queen Sweet Deals Menu for free every week for a whole year?” Wow! this is a very powerful question that deserves a witty yet impacting response that warrants free meals every week for a whole year. One must chose carefully but simply. The answer must not be over thought nor idiotic in nature. Ok! I think I am going to step out on a limb and give my response to the epic question: “If I were able to try the Dairy Queen Sweet Deals Menu for free every week for a whole year, I would walk an ENTIRE mile!” “Oh, providing I could get a ride back of course!”

Wow got my GC today! Only 6 days after blogging about it. Fabulous marketing! Thanks…we’ll head to DQ this weekend when it’s in the 80′s here!

cheesbuger, salad, drink and the DQ cone!

My family and I would wear DQ cone hats with their usual choice of dipping, everytime we use the gift certifictes. It would turn heads and make people ask questions-maybe even ask where they can get their DQ dipped hat!

I take my family of four
almost every wk,we each can eat for under $6.00
for a nutrious meals@DQ including a Blissard.and
that’s just awesome.
Thank you.

I think they need some kind of deal where you can add toppings for cheap. Have a special day of the week set out for this.

Thanks DQ for giving me a meal deal with the $5 gift card. Afterward, I took home two Hawaiian blizzards. My family and I always eat at Dairy Queen & especially when on a vacation. The ice cream at Dairy Queen is Fantastic….the best!

Excellent site blog.dairyqueen.com and I am really pleased to see you have what I am actually looking for here: this .. as it’s taken me literally 1 hours and 46 minutes of searching the web to find you (just kidding!) so I shall be pleased to become a regular visitor :)

I have to add that I would create a new blog everyday to advertise for the New Sweet Deals…now that I know how to do it *after numerous nights working on it!

Six years on the road in our RV has taken us to several states in the USA. Wouldn’t it be great to see our motorhome decorated with my favorite often purchased as it tastes the same whatever state I’m in- even the state of confusion; the famous DQ curled ice cream dipped in chocolate.

getting a gift card would get me to visit your location more often – coupons I love – blizzards too!

I love dairy queen so much that I would put your logo and name up on my mirror at work to advertise for you i am a cosmetologists! need a hair cut! hehehehehe

Getting a gift card for Dairy Queen would help me spread the word to have more people go there. Coupons are great too.

I’d totally get a DQ tattoo on my forhead. Just kidding. I would be willing to mow a big “yard tattoo” in the shape of DQ! Pick me!

Oh man, my sweet deal would be the cheeseburger, chicken wrap, onion rings and a medium drink! whoa, for $5 that would be Sa-weet! that’s cheaper than any other value menu too!

I would do the 4 for 5 deal …its 4 meals for an easy 5$ ……i would do the 2 chicken wraps, french fries and can never miss out on the small sundae……i mean it is dairy queen!>……love DQ

There just isn’t any way to lose on this! I’ll take any of the 20,000 combinations – and enjoy every minute of the meal! :-)

I am going to take my friends and family to DQ and treat them to a sweet deal, every week when it’s my day to buy. This will definitely end the lunch time drudgery and boost us right into spring. Thank you for your generosity during these trying times, I can’t wait to spring this on my friends and my children and grand children.

Am I the only one who sees that you can’t get 20,000 combinations from these choices? There’s something wrong with DQ’s math – and it’s false advertising.
9*9+9*9*9+9*9*9*9=7371 different combos, including getting 2, 3 or 4 of the same item.

Mathman, I forwarded your comment to our DQ® math wizards, who provided the following explanation for that 20,000 number:

24 total products available on the sweet deals menu:
6 flavors of sundaes
6 flavors of soft drinks
3 flavors of dipped cones
4 types of chicken wraps
1 size fry
1 cheeseburger
1 size onion ring
1 side salad
1 hot dog

With the potential product offering mix in mind, we approached the problem using an equation that provides total “combinations with repetition.” The equation for each Sweet Deals product offering is:
(n+r-1)! ÷ r!(n-1)!

Since we have three Sweet Deals offerings (2 products for $3, 3 products for $4, or 4 products for $5), we add up each of the available combinations within each offering:
[(24+2-1)! ÷ 2!(24-1)!] + [(24+3-1)! ÷ 3!(24-1)!] + [(24+4-1)! ÷ 4!(24-1)!]
= 300 + 2600 + 17550
= 20450

This, of course, accounts for potentially purchasing two hot dogs as a combination or even 4 soft drinks of the varying flavors.

Hello!
Very Interesting post! Thank you for such interesting resource!
PS: Sorry for my bad english, I’v just started to learn this language ;)
See you!
Your, Raiul Baztepo

Thank you for posting the explanation behind the 20,000 number JT, I didn’t understand where that came from. If you exclude the different flavors of items and types of chicken wraps and stick with the 9 main items with repetition, there is 705 meal combinations.

I would order the following:

1 -Side Salad with ranch
2 -1 cheeseburger
3 -REG Fry
4 -Med Pepsi
5 -Sm Hot Fudge Sundae
SWEET DEAL: $5.00

Most restaurants offer side salads complimentary to the main dish; Cheeseburger and Fry in my case. And no meal is complete without a soda on the side, so I may as well add in a…somewhat healthy drink. And to top of my “fancy” dinning experience I would have a hot fudge sundae to make me feel satisfy. This combination not only will end my hunger, but it will give me the experience of eating in any 5 star restaurant for only $5.00. What else could you ask for?

I remember as a little kid going to Crystal Beach in Canada, having this extra creamy ice cream. They spooned it on a cone. Dairy Queen is the closest to it and I look forward to having it
and remembering the fun we had.

1 onion ring
2 cheeseburgers
2 pop
1 fries
1 sundae

Meal for 2 and a sundae to share.
$9.00
Now that’s a sweet deal!!!!

Going to get it now!! :) YUMMY!

“over 20,000 combinations” is a lie…

If you add up all the combinations, you can only have 9^4 + 9^3 + 9^3 = over 7000 choices…
I’m sorry, but overexaggerating your deal isn’t going to help… Because this deal is already very awesome :P .

Actually, Ricky, this question has come up in our comments before. According to our DQ math wizards, they used the following formula to come to that 20,000 number:

24 total products available on the Sweet Deals menu:
6 flavors of sundaes
6 flavors of soft drinks
3 flavors of dipped cones
4 types of chicken wraps
1 size fry
1 cheeseburger
1 size onion ring
1 side salad
1 hot dog

With the potential product offering mix in mind, we approached the problem using an equation that provides total “combinations with repetition.” The equation for each Sweet Deals product offering is:
(n+r-1)! ÷ r!(n-1)!

Since we have three Sweet Deals offerings (two products for $3, three products for $4, or four products for $5), we add up each of the available combinations within each offering:
[(24+2-1)! ÷ 2!(24-1)!] + [(24+3-1)! ÷ 3!(24-1)!] + [(24+4-1)! ÷ 4!(24-1)!]
= 300 + 2600 + 17550
= 20450

This, of course, accounts for potentially purchasing two hot dogs as a combination or even four soft drinks of the varying flavors.

So you see, it’s actually a little more than 20,000 possible combinations.

is it too late? becuae if not, I would play hopscotch on a gird of DQ Cheesburgers barefoot, take DQ Hotdogs on thier daily walks FOR A YEAR,design a special mini skirt “wrap” for the chicken wraps, swim across an ocean of sodas, tend to the DQ garden to make sure the salads grow up crisp, fresh and right, teach the DQ fries to speak French,
help the plain old onions become DQ golden onion rings, prepare the sundaes for thier tops, and finally, I would cultivate the cones to carefully choose thier proper dipping flavors to match thier delectable scrupdillishish curls! all to be a part of teh Sweet deal winners club!
now, PICTURE all of tis!
Yummy!

So sorry it’s to late but thank you so much for your comment and what your Sweet Deal would be!

I would have a salad, a cheeseburger and a sprite all for 4 bucks you cant beat that!! Then catch a movie from blockbuster, Great Dinner and a Movie!

My sweet deal is a hamburger for me.. a hot dog for the little one I care for.. with fries and a sundae to share!!.. I am lucky.. there is a Dairy Queen down on the corner!!

I live next door to a DQ and my kids and I try everything on the menu at least once and mmmm I love free and chocolate add the two and DQ just became the new heaven on earth. woohoo

DAIRY QUEEN HAS THE BEST BURGERS. AND THE ICE CREAM IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS. I ENJOY ALL COMBINATIONS OF THE SWEET DEAL MENU…

wowie..!! i luvvv there dipped cones..!! and now i can get all 4 cause there cheap and im poor..!! (:

I saw the commercial on TV about the sweet deals, googled the DQ sweet deals, picked out what I wanted to order (cheeseburger, onion rings and a dipped cone), drove to DQ, and they said, no, sorry, we don’t offer those deals here. So I left. Very disappointed.

Oh! I am so sorry — I know this is frustrating when you are hoping to take advantage of a special deal! The Sweet Deals are offered at DQ Grill & Chill restaurants and DQ Brazier restaurants, and at those restaurants that are participating in the promotion. I hope this helps!

Here is my deal – I’ll fix your math. There are only 6561 combinations with 9 items and 4 choices, not 20,000. That should be worth some free food!

Hi, Andy! It may be possible that you have not factored in all of the different flavors associated with our Sweet Deals menu.

24 total products available on the sweet deals menu:
- 6 flavors of sundaes
- 6 flavors of soft drinks
- 3 flavors of dipped cones
- 4 types of chicken wraps
- 1 size fry
- 1 cheeseburger
- 1 size onion ring
- 1 side salad
- 1 hot dog

With the potential product offering mix in mind, we approached the problem using an equation that provides total “combinations with repetition.” The equation for each Sweet Deals product offering is:
(n+r-1)! ÷ r!(n-1)!

Since we have three Sweet Deals offerings (2 products for $3, 3 products for $4, or 4 products for $5), we add up each of the available combinations within each offering:[(24+2-1)! ÷ 2!(24-1)!] + [(24+3-1)! ÷ 3!(24-1)!] + [(24+4-1)! ÷ 4!(24-1)!]= 300 + 2600 + 17550 = 20450

This accounts for potentially purchasing multiples of products, like two hot dogs as a combination or even 4 soft drinks of the varying flavors. I hope this helps!

mmm…. i wish i could have dairy queen today cause it is so HOT!!!!one of their mint thin blizzards sounds so good!!!

Feed me for a year and I’ll place a bumper sticker on my car. (i don’t like anything on my car- it looks tacky but I’ll play along.

Awsome deals. But, think all yall that don’t know how much the dessert and ice cream is. Speaking of it. What is the cost of it?

Not entirely sure I follow your comments. We have seven members of our Blog Team, all who contribute. Not one posing as seven, but seven actual people. If you are referring to the comments about the blog posts; nope. Those are all real too.

I would definitely get a cheeseburger, onion rings, a drink and a sundae for my husband and I: $5×2. Then for my three kids:
3 burgers
3 onion rings
3 drinks
3 sundaes
= $15
Our family can eat, with dessert, for $25. Can’t get that at the competition.

as a seonior citizen living a couple of blocks from the closest DQ I would walk a whole lot further for my favourite treats pretty soon I can bring my grandson there for some treats

Id offer to clean all the cars at the drive thru but dont want to slow your buisness down lol you guys are#1 in my books love the new value meals

Very sorry that you feel liek you waisted time reading the blog it does state in the blog that the contest was closed as of March 6th of last year. Were so sorry that you are disappointed!

i love dairy queen my daughter loves it also she loves the vanilla mochas me i love just about all of it

so basically, you can do this.. or you can to mcdonalds and get.
1$ large drink
1$ mc double
1$ dipped cone

ifail to see how this is a deal.. i was deffinitly hoping for something better like a B O G O F or something.. but this is just a dissapointment., i mean i love DQ and go there often, but this doesnt seem like a deal to me..

I love DQ and will stop at one anytime to get get a blizzard and a burger. Hitting the freeway to travel love it that there is always A DQ on the way.

I grew up eating a DQ. First one I went to 33 years ago was an old bank before DQ. I want to pass this tradition to my three year old son. Get him to know what a real treat is!

I was very disappointed in the DQ near my work. They acted like they didn’t know of this deal then remembered. I ordered two singles plain for 2 dollars and got 2 burgers slapped on 2 buns with no cheese and paid more than 2 bucks with tax. Should have been $2.14 and was $2.40???? Didn’t have any cheese. I’ll do better at McD or Wendys for double stacks or dbl cheeseburgers. Thanks anyway… won’t be back.

My family really enjoy treats from DQ. So many to choose from… thankfully summer is 9 weeks long!

I would dress like a clown…hold up a sign in front of our local DQ saying….”Come on in!! We are having a party!!! EveryOnes invited and the deals are Swwwwweeet!”

I would ride a unicycle over 200 upright beer bottles while holding the worlds largest rubber band ball while piggy backing the worlds oldest person with a spoon balanced on my nose all underwater in a pool full of piranha’s while reading.

February 2013, and the sweet deal is still going strong, and still the best deal in fast food anywhere. I have gone through periods of nearly living off 3x cheeseburger (plain, add tomato) and Onion rings (atop the delicious burgers + BBQ sauce.)
