What's Your Deal
Posted by Carolyn K under Eats & Treats on
I love it when I find a deal — any kind of deal. Everyone has conversations about things they’ve found on sale…how much money they saved when purchasing the item at a deep discount. I have a friend who points out that we don’t really save anything because we are still SPENDING. He thinks he’s clever and spinning the conversation.
But really – he’s missing the point, isn’t he? A purchase is only a deal because we were often intending to make the purchase anyway. And it’s a Sweet Deal when we get something of real value for a low price.
I might be looking for a new pair of shoes – finding a lovely designer pair that fits the bill for $10 is totally a Sweet Deal! Life is busy and sometimes I have to feed my family on the run, or maybe we just want to go out for a treat… Being able to treat my family of five for less than $20, well that would be an amazing Sweet Deal, wouldn’t it?
That’s why I am so excited about the Sweet Deals menu now offered at DQ®/Brazier® and DQ Grill & Chill® restaurants. I love to go out to eat with my family – particularly when someone else does all the work and cleanup for me! – AND if I can still do that while sticking to my budget, all the better.

We stopped by the Dairy Quenn in Apopka Flordia and it was closed. It looked like they may have had a fire. The site was taped off. Wood covered the doors and a couple window.
What is the status of the Dairy Queen:
803 Semoran Blvd, Apopka Florida
Thank you
Tom
Hi, Tom! thanks for your email about the Apopka DQ. They did have a fire, no one was hurt, and they expect to rebuild and reopen as soon as possible.
I actually work at the Apopka DQ and I’m sad about the fire. I love working there.
Thanks, Faith, for sharing! We are all very sorry about the fire, but are excited with the franchise owner for the opportunities in the future.
Well, it is sad they had a fire. I hope they rebuild and get back on bussines. I love stopping by with my family for our weekend ice cream treats.
Im 22 now. I remember having my 4th and/or 5th b-day there! the inside pretty much stayed the same inside as long as I can remember. lots of memorys there for sure. sucks itll never look the same… but HEY, at least the inside will look super new!! and hopefully will be much cleaner inside. i heard some horror stories from former empolyees…
How can you do business as an ice cream place when half the time they never have chocolate? They’re losing my business very soon unless they get chocolate instead of excuses.
