Hey Fans! So, Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Some like to call it “Black Friday”, which I never really understood, I think it should be called Stress-Friday. Something about getting in my car at 4am and heading out to a zoo of cars in the department store parking lot never really made me a “happy camper”. But, you know how I get though the day? It’s a little secret I’ve been doing for the last few years.
Here it is… Between every store I go to, I make a pit stop at my local DQ for a Blizzard Treat! Pretty genius, huh? That way I don’t get all hot and bothered about all the craziness that happens throughout the day. Something about soft serve and my favorite toppings has a way of taking the edge off! Happy shopping, fans!

Hey fans, today is Veteran’s Day! What do you say we thank our brave Veterans for everything they’ve done for our country in a sweet way? Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Let’s treat the Veterans to a tasty Blizzard Treat! It’s the least we could do. If you know a Veteran, thank them for serving our amazing country by treating them to a Blizzard Treat! Just think, if it weren’t for them, we might not even have delicious Blizzard Treats. But let’s not think about that…

It was a brownie one…….MMMMMM I’m a chocoholic anyway….and I am 53 years old……who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks….oh by the way I just finished my second blizzard…..French silk pie…..MMMMMM!” – Bonnie
“I was 12 years old I had my tonsils taken out I was so miserable and I felt like no knew how I felt…..Well my dad went with my mom and they brought my very first BLIZZARD!!!!!The flavor I believe was the HEATHBAR it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the middle of July and at that time we were leaving down south….” –Daniele
“I worked for Dairy Queen when I was 16 and that is when I had my first Blizzard. I love the snickers Blizzard and the oreo one too! That was the best summer when I worked there!!”- Justyna
“I was 3 months pregnant, and it was the chocolate covered cherry Blizzard. I then had to have one at least once a week. Yes, there were caloric cutbacks in other areas but well worth it. Still one of my favorites.” –Iva

Hey fans, I’ve got some good news and some bad news. Which do you want first? How about the bad news? You’ve only got four more days to get your taste buds on the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat before it’s gone for an entire year. So go out and get one this weekend.
Good news, November’s Blizzard of the Month is just as sweet! And I’m going to let you in on what it is…because I like you so much. Any guesses on what it could be? I’ll give you a hint. It rhymes with “Kokomo.” You know, like that Beach Boys song? Now that was a good song! “Hey baby, why don’t we go…” OK. I’ll stop.
November’s Blizzard of the Month is Cookie Dough! So when November hits, get to your local DQ for the Blizzard of the Month. You deserve one!

Hey fans! You think you’ve got what it takes to become the next Blizzard Fan of the Week? Well, here’s your chance. All you have to do is upload a photo of yourself on the Blizzard Fan Club page on Facebook and you could be chosen.
If you’re selected, get ready for Blizz fame and fortune. Your photo will go up, and stay up all week on the Blizzard Fan Club page for all to admire. And the best part about it is you get a free Blizzard treat out of the deal. Not too shabby, huh? It’s too bad there isn’t a Fan of the Century contest because obviously I’d win it! But whatever…

Hey fans! I love hearing about how crazy you are for Blizzard treats. Every time I get an email from one of you I get super duper excited. I recently got and email from someone that remembers his first experience with our beloved Blizzard treat, dating back to 1985.
“In 1985, we were driving back from Alaska. Canada has a DQ in every town, so we stopped at the first one we came to and found the newest treat, a Blizzard treat. Mine was a Reeses. It was so good that we stopped twice every day for a week. Now that was traveling in style. Loved them ever since.”
So, fans, I’d love to hear the story of your first Blizzard treat experience. Tell me in the comment box below, and maybe next month I’ll feature your story!
How would you like to win 10 FREE MINI Blizzard® Treats? Well these 50 people won 10 Free Mini Blizzard treats for checking in via FourSquare at their local Dairy Queen® store on 10/10/10. Thank you to everyone who checked in, and congrats to all of our winners!
